To say that customer service is in Dr. Della Chow’s blood is an understatement. Her family had a restaurant for forty years, and she grew up in the restaurant. After working in multi-doctor practices for ten years, Della decided to open her own business in 2001, modelled after providing a delightful restaurant experience. And now, the unique eyewear destination is celebrating its eighteenth birthday.
Travelling the world and scouting out the next big eyewear trends in Milan, Paris, Los Angeles and NYC, Chow aims to fulfill the Della Optique mandate of providing a curated selection of beautiful and unique eyewear. Her end goal is to make sure that everyone who comes into the store, regardless of their age or style, leaves feeling like the best version of themselves.
To mark the optical boutique’s eighteenth birthday, Della recently renovated to design a stunning new space that makes the eyewear shopping experience as pleasant and easy as possible. Her customers can get an eye exam, contact lenses and new glasses (a pair, or a few) all in one visit.
“It’s my own brand that I started from the ground up, and to see it grow and continue to flourish is so gratifying.” she says. “I love being able to help people see and feel confident and happy.”
Della had the original interior designer from 2001 implement her new vision for the store. The resulting seamless renovation occurred over a period of 6 months. From new wall paint to a new carpet, from brushed brass hardware to marble tops this luxe modern look has something for everybody.
